4th 5th October Dunns Swamp

Got to the Swamp and set up. Decided to walk to the guaging station (5k's). Water is measured into the dam at this point.

Although it had "swamp" in its name , it was quite the opposite.Done the cave and dam wall walk. Enough walking for now. Camping area got rather crouded as it was a long weekend in the east.

02 -03 October Tamworth

What do you do when you get to Tamworth ? Golden guitar of course.

30 Sept 01 October Port Macquarie

Walked the foreshore up to the old mill site. Decided not to walk the full 6 k walk. ZReturned to the cafe strip for a coffee.

27 - 29th September ...Coffs Harbour

Walked to mutton bird island from the caravan park. No camera as the day was grey. Saw the nesting holes and whales passing the island.
Went to the local bowling club to wath the AFL grand final. Neil got asked if his daughter was ok by the President of the club. I think he was joking !!!

Dorrigo National Park. 5.6 km loop walk through the rain forrest was amazing.

Dangar Falls just out of Dorrigo.

25/26 September.... Ballina

River view from Ballina,strange to see the sunset from the east coast.

Drove up to Byron Bay went to the most eatern point. The lighthouse.
jam packed with people in the town square. Mung beans at the markets were a sight to see.

Went to the Ti Tree oil factory. and walked the maze and rainforrest. Had to enter through a strange door.!!

Black dots are dolphin fins, these were enterin the river at the heads.

24th September.... Tenterfield and surrounding areas

Boonoo Boonoo falls, just a bit further he said. Better be worth it.

Cooling the feet in the cold water.

Visited Peter Allen's grandfathers sadlery. It was closed for renovations. !!!!
Neil has finally retired his hat. It survived Carrabooda,Cocos, Kununurra and Port Hedland.
Bought a new cattlemans Akubra.

Two and a half kms up to the top. 800metres down if you go over the side at 30 degrees slope.
Wee took the short cut down.
